    Essentielle par Tara

Tara is a singer-songwriter. She has travelled the world convinced that music is a universal language. Nestled in the slab of the deer in this lodge, she composed this magnificent ode to the forest that she knows is so essential to our physical and mental well-being. In this lodge in the colours of the deep forest, all shades of green, the mirrors answer each other to bring the trees even deeper into your interior. Comfortably Installed in your warm relaxing bath on your private terrace you can let yourself be carried by the music of Tara. From your bed you can read and reread the words of ESSENTIELLE written from her hand on the wall.

“Light, osmosis with the forest, transparency, space” inspired the design of our 18 lodges. Built on stilts, from wood species present in the surrounding forest – douglas, chestnut, oak – our lodges are real, warm and cosy suites. Their large windows and open terraces, equipped with a private spa, promote an harmonious dialogue between the interiors and the forest. And for the final touch, each lodge has been designed by a contemporary artist.

Walk or not

Walking is the best way to get around and explore our forest and the woods that surround it (the W.H.O recommends 10,000 steps a day to be healthier!). However, electric carts are provided for ease of travel, in case of necessity or a momentary lack of energy… here everything is allowed.

Interview

TARA

Author, Composer, Performer

Tell us what motivated you to join this project, how did you draw inspiration from the space and the nature around it ?

I think it is absolutely essential today to be able to find spaces of peace and tranquillity. In such places, reproducing the conditions inherent in any space of Nature, the being can contact what is essential to it. In silence, and in the greatness of the forest, he can find his place and the way leading to his interiority. I found this gift when I came to live an experience in Loire Valley Lodges. I felt that everything was designed to offer such an experience both to listen to the being and to listen to the Earth. There is a lot of humility in this project and at the same time a real sensitivity allied to a talent put at the service of the forest. If I can participate at the same time as encouraging the deployment of this beautiful initiative, it is naturally with all my heart and in tune that I will do it.

Tara, explain to us how you chose to sign this lodge and leave your artistic imprint?

This place inspired me to write and compose this song, "Essentielle". The first quality of a musician is knowing how to listen. We’re just putting in notes and words what’s already there. In a forest like this, connected to all the other forests of the planet, there is so much to discover, it is so moving! I tried to transcribe as best I could what was breathed into me when I was here. For me the forest is like a mother, it gives life, it protects and it knows to be as sweet as ferocious, it is pure love. And today, she calls her children to stand up in their turn and take care of her, measuring the responsibility, we find the path of our being and the meaning of our presence here. This is what this place inspired me and what I want to translate into this song.

Biography

The first quality of a musician is that of being able to listen. We just put in notes and words what is already there.

29-year-old songwriter and performer from France, some note in it the looks of Joan Baez and others find the creative impetus of a French Kate Bush.
Tara has been writing and composing since she was 7 years old. She studied piano, guitar, dance and theatre with various mentors and quickly distinguished herself by her boundless creativity.
At the age of 16, she is supported by the label LMA (Landes Musique Amplifiées) to give concerts and ensure the first parts of artists. The audience is sensitive to her stage play, she takes us into her authentic universe.
She continues to sing her compositions accompanied by her guitar on some scenes of the capital city and releases a very first clip -on the song Euskadi, written in homage to her Basque roots -which gets a media report by France 3.
Her first album is born in June 2017 at the Theatre du Temps in Paris, Tara is then accompanied by a dozen musicians representing different musical traditions. It bears the name of Dharamsala, a title-tribute to the peoples met during her travels as a musician
and reporter.
In 2018, she created the association Le Chant de nos Racines (lechantdenosracines.org) who will take her on the roads of France and Spain in concerts through a tour off the beaten track in
which are also proposed workshops and collective actions to promote and share the message of Life contained in his songs. Its Francophonie reveals a universal dimension, especially during this concert for Greenpeace on the ship of the Esperanza in Bilbao bringing together an international audience that is touched by its repertoire.
In 2019, she released her second album and chose to group her compositions on the theme of resilience. She indulges in it more personally, and as an alchemist of sound, denounces at the same time that she embraces “It is the death of death, pain and boredom, and my heart that laughs at it”. We will also find Seper, the song she wrote to journalist Marine Barnérias for her book Seper Hero, which had stirred hearts on social networks “There is my soul at the top of the cities, more perfume than thorns and everything in its place”.
The French-speaking artist invites other languages and vocal techniques in this album and offers with more depth her multi-faceted appearance: she whispers in Euskara, raises the tone in glossolalie, slam in Spanish, vocalize in English, raises her voice in Native American and African arabesques. She puts it in a fair and sensitive way everything that can allow us to share her love of life.

Tara, if you were...

  • A forest of the world, you would be...

    The Canadian Boreal Forest

  • A tree, you would be...

A tree, from those who remind me of the Indian tipi’s refuge

  • A part of this tree, you would be...

The pinnacle to be in the first lodges of the singing Wind

  • A forest dweller, you would be...

The Spirit of the forest! So much to do ...!

  • A season, you would be...

    Fall

  • A mushroom, you would be...

Say a cedar, it grows under the trees and is generous

  • A wind, you would be...

The wind of Foehn! Driven by the strength of the mountainous terrain

  • A smell, you would be...

The smell of Nordmann fir (in its natural state obviously)
