“Light, osmosis with the forest, transparency, space” inspired the design of our 18 lodges. Built on stilts, from wood species present in the surrounding forest – douglas, chestnut, oak – our lodges are real, warm and cosy suites. Their large windows and open terraces, equipped with a private spa, promote an harmonious dialogue between the interiors and the forest. And for the final touch, each lodge has been designed by a contemporary artist.

Digital Detox

To optimize your immersion in nature and to wake your senses, we have deliberately chosen not to include Wifi and TV in our lodges.
You will nevertheless find:
  • a walkie-talkie in your room, connected to the reception, for all your requests
  • a free WiFi connection and a large screen in the common areas of the hotel

Walk or not

Walking is the best way to get around and explore our forest and the woods that surround it (the W.H.O recommends 10,000 steps a day to be healthier!). However, electric carts are provided for ease of travel, in case of necessity or a momentary lack of energy… here everything is allowed.

Interview

Cédric Marcillac

Plastic Artist

Tell us what motivated you to join this project, how did you draw inspiration from the space and the nature around it ?

So what motivated me in this project? ... Well, I’ll say at the very beginning: it’s our meeting, the way you told me about your project... your dynamic personality. I immediately liked the idea of the association between the forest, design and art!! A crazy project but one that makes you take time for it, which at the opposite of my character normally... and yet once inside the lodge, I calmed down... I could even start drawing if I had planned paper... I went home and immediately a lot of images came to mind.

And how did you finally choose the pieces you were going to put in your lodge?

First of all, to paint on the walls to leave a trace of my presence on the wood ! sensual… Immediately after the desire of textile... cocooning/ the urge to snuggle in comfortable while facing this huge window towards the trees... so I felt like offering you plaids or bed covers to bring a comfort and a touch of sensuality with the textile I have been working with for 10 years. I love the material and we also find it in the lodge... When you showed me the terrace there came the sexy side of the lodge. I could have had the urge to bask naked on this terrace and there it made me think of my 500 leg Barbies lamppost... the erotic side to my work. I also thought of my work of braiding of “scoubidoos” present in the lamppost but this time on metal chairs where I interpreted a braid made of cactus. and lord, I imagine them very well on this terrace !
