Photographs of Jean Marie PERRIER, typical photographer of the time of the band “salut les copains” decorate the walls of your lodge. The sixties decoration offers a lively, cheerful, colourful atmosphere around the emblematic egg chair typical of this era. Apart from trees and birds, your roommates are called Mick Jagger, Silvie Vartan or Michel Polnareff… we’ve seen worse!

The benefits of a hotel in the trees
Our lodges have the layout of a hotel suite, bringing you the same level of hospitality, comfort and service you would expect from a hotel. With a living area of 35 sq. m, nestled 4m high in the trees, all of our lodges are fitted with a fully equipped bathroom, Italian shower, separate toilets, and mini bar with hot and cold drinks to satisfy your desires at any time of the day. Each lodge extends into a 25 sq. m terrace that includes a private spa. Only “Efflorescences”, our lodge adapted for people with reduced mobility (PRM), is on the ground. It offers 2 terraces, one of which is above a pond, and has a complete spa: sauna and massaging jacuzzi. Everything has been designed to ensure complete privacy and allow you to fully immerse yourselves in nature.

Design, brightness and openness
- Architecte : Isabelle Poulain
- Construction and Cladding : Rémi Becherel - Nid Perché
- Stairs : Laurent Garreau - Le Terrier
“Light, osmosis with the forest, transparency, space” inspired the design of our 18 lodges. Built on stilts, from wood species present in the surrounding forest – douglas, chestnut, oak – our lodges are real, warm and cosy suites. Their large windows and open terraces, equipped with a private spa, promote an harmonious dialogue between the interiors and the forest. And for the final touch, each lodge has been designed by a contemporary artist.

- a free WiFi connection and a large screen in the common areas of the hotel

Walk or not
Walking is the best way to get around and explore our forest and the woods that surround it (the W.H.O recommends 10,000 steps a day to be healthier!). However, electric carts are provided for ease of travel, in case of necessity or a momentary lack of energy… here everything is allowed.

Interview

Anne Caroline Frey
Founder of this hotel
Anne Caroline, tell us why this Sixties’ Lodge ?
I wanted to offer a lodge that looks like me, that offers a part of my life, of my childhood that has never left me... you have to keep your eyes children eyes to see the world more beautifully. This is what I wanted to translate here in a joyful lodge, in the colours and design of a time that has lulled my childhood, a carefree era - probably irresponsible compared to the planet - but conducive to fulfilment and creation.

How did you choose the works of this lodge?
The works on the walls and some furniture are mine, they’ve been with me everywhere for many years, at home, in my offices, in a living room... I slept in the same room, worked next door, had nice nights with my children, friends in the middle ...I never got tired of it and always found a new energy, a desire to smile, to sing, to laugh. I took pleasure in choosing these furniture, these photos, which I took out of my daily life to put in the lodge.

Biography
Anne Caroline FREY
Nothing remarkable in my life, except that I have been able to create and grow the projects that were dear to my heart. My large and beautiful family tribe of 7 children first, my first professional years in communication, my home of artists and the creation of a private circle of Art lovers, and especially this project that brings together in its heart everything that animates and moves me : nature, art in all its forms, contemporary art of course, but also music, the art of table, the art of tasting, of sharing a food, a wine, but especially the art of living the present and knowing how to
enjoy it. The sharing of pleasure, the creation of emotions, sensations, the production of beautiful images, memories… these are the things I care about that I wish to share with you. Apart from this if you are curious, I am 52 years old, and was born in Paris under the astrological sign of the Piscies and the protection of my tree that is the weeping willow. You should often see me in the alleys of the forest of la Duporterie!
